SKILLS2017 will focus on the following 3 Strategic Sessions and therefore, abstract submissions should fit into one or more of these session themes.
Leveraging Digital India for Rural Empowerment is the theme of a conference to be held on November 16 and 17, 2017, in Hyderabad, focused on the national Digital India mission, particularly as it relates to agriculture, financial inclusion, and health/education for the nation’s poor in rural communities.
This is the fourth major conference on skills for rural India. In the past decade, Life Skills and Livelihood Skills International, (LSLSI), has become an effective force for marshaling public and private resources to develop a sustainable economy for the most underserved segment of Indian society.
The Digital India mission has potential to transform rural agricultural economies. To ensure a healthy dialogue about this enormous opportunity, a diverse group of stakeholders will gather to discuss, debate, deliberate and decide on the best means to identify the challenges and create the solutions necessary to leverage Digital India for rural empowerment.
SKILLS2017 conference invites abstracts for Papers and for Posters on the Five Strategic Sessions of the conference. Proposals are also invited for presentations on relevant demonstrations, Best Practices, Case Studies that address to the conference themes.

A limited number of paper sessions will be scheduled for each theme. Each paper presentation lasts 20 minutes, and is followed by 10 minutes of questions, critique, and/or discussion. Paper presentation session rooms will be equipped with an LCD projector and computer equipment, one screen, a pointer, and microphones.Poster Sessions
A limited number of posters are accepted for presentation at the conference on 16 and 17 November 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, during which time authors are expected to be present. The posters may be left on display throughout the conference duration. Presenters must set up their displays prior to the start of the session. Each presenter will have 5 minutes to present a brief overview of the presentation. At the conclusion of the brief presentations, audience members will have approximately 30 minutes to circulate throughout the venue to view the posters and interact with the presenters.
Each presenter will be provided a 4′ x 8′ corkboard and a 2′ x 6′ table. Presenter may mount display components on the corkboard or rest a full poster on the table. A Poster presents content using charts, graphs, illustrations and/or photographs as printed/mounted visuals.Project/Case Study Presentations
A limited number of presentations are accepted for presentation at the conference on 16 November 2017 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Each Project/Case study presentation is expected to be approximately 20 minutes long with an additional 10 minutes for questions and/or discussion. Presenters will be asked to have their presentation available on a thumb drive and share it with the SKILLS2017 Program Committee for back-up.LSLSI BEST ABSTRACT AWARD
